Evaluate with test data, not student records
You do not need to hand over production student records to find out whether AtlasOA or Atlas K-12 works. Every file on this page is synthetic: invented names, invented scores, and invented events, in the same formats the software imports.

All sample data is synthetic. The people, IDs, and records in these files were made up for demonstration. Use them freely in an evaluation. If you later test with your own data, use approved non-production or de-identified data under your institution's policies.
AtlasOA (higher education)
AtlasOA also includes a built-in sample program you can load from the sign-in page when using an evaluation key, without downloading anything; the Evaluation Guide starts there.

CSV import templates
The outcomes, assessment results, and closing-the-loop templates load your own data into the evaluation sample workspace. The competency framework template imports directly. Ongoing score imports use Excel rubric reports or outcome assessment spreadsheets.
Competency framework library
Fourteen pre-built frameworks in JSON, each citing its official source and verification date: CompTIA A+ (Core 1 and Core 2), Network+, Security+, and CySA+; Cisco CCNA and CCNP ENCOR; AWS Cloud Practitioner; Microsoft AZ-900 and AB-900; ASE A-Series; NIMS Machining Level 1; OSHA 10 General Industry; and CASEL 5. Atlas K-12 (MTSS and whole child)
Twenty invented students in grades 6 through 8 with matching demographic, attendance, behavior, assessment, and calendar records, in the column layout the Atlas K-12 CSV importer expects. Import them in this order: calendar, students, demographics, attendance, behavior, assessments.
Field-by-field mapping from common student information systems is in the SIS field mapping reference (PDF).
Testing with your own data
- Start with the files above. Most evaluation questions can be answered without any real records.
- If you test with your own records, use a non-production export, de-identify it where you can, and follow your institution's data-handling policies.
- The software runs on your machine, so data you load stays there. See Architecture and Data ownership.
Do not take our word for it. Test it yourself. Install AtlasOA or Atlas K-12 on a machine your institution controls, use sample or non-production data, and let your own people decide.
